At Trinity Church Livermore, our mission is to embrace Jesus's commandment to "go into the world and make disciples" by meeting people where they are and helping them discover how the teachings of Jesus Christ can transform their lives. We strive to connect with individuals in today's world, understanding their unique circumstances, and guiding them on a meaningful journey.

Committed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ

At Trinity Church we aim to teach the core doctrines of the Christian faith, as revealed in the Bible. These are the pillars that uphold our church’s core beliefs. They will help you understand what we stand for and how we seek to live out the gospel in our community.

  • The gospel is the message of God's grace shining through the darkness of our world. It tells the story of creation, the fall, redemption, and the ultimate fulfillment of God's plan, all brought about by the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ. At the center of this message is the crucifixion of Christ, which stands as the essence of the gospel. Through His resurrection, we witness the power of the gospel, while His ascension serves as the ultimate declaration of its glory. Christ's death is a substitutionary and propitiatory sacrifice offered to God on our behalf, which fulfills the demands of His holy justice and appeases His holy wrath. Demonstrating His mysterious love and revealing His amazing grace. As the sole mediator between God and humanity, Jesus Christ is the only path to salvation. At the core of all sound doctrine lies the cross of Christ and the infinite privilege of redeemed sinners to glorify God. It is our desire that everything within our hearts, churches, and ministries should stem from and be connected to the gospel.

  • Doctrine of God

    We believe in one God eternally existing as one essence and three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, each of whom is fully God, yet there is one God.

    Doctrine of Revelation

    God has made Himself known to the world in Jesus Christ, the Scriptures, and creation.

    Doctrine of Creation and Providence

    We believe that God created the world from nothing and governs all things at all times in all places.

    Doctrine of Humanity

    We believe that all humanity is created in the image of God and possesses intrinsic dignity and worth.

    Doctrine of Sin

    We believe that sin has fractured all things, leaving the world in desperate need of salvation.

    Doctrine of Salvation

    We believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

    Doctrine of the Church

    We believe that the Church is the body of Christ sent into the world to shine forth the glory of God.

    Doctrine of New Creation

    We believe that Jesus Christ is returning to the world in the future to judge the living and the dead.

  • Our church is under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We are unwavering in our commitment to defend the faith that was once delivered to the saints (Jude 1:3). In keeping with the historic Christian church; we hold fast to the Apostles', Nicene, and Chalcedonian Creeds as accurate representations of Scripture's teachings. Furthermore, our church is rooted in the evangelical, Reformed, and Baptist traditions while recognizing the value of various expressions of the Christian faith. Our Statement of Faith articulates the fundamental principles of biblical teaching that we believe are essential for our members to embrace. While we expect all members to affirm these non-negotiable elements, we also allow for healthy debate and individual freedom on other matters that are open to interpretation.
